Welcome back to another week of Artisan Wednesday Wow! I’m a little more accepting this week that October is in full force and Fall is here to stay. It’s always been my favorite time of year so I am loving creating Fall projects and am excited to see what all of the other girls on the team have come up with this week!
I created some projects with the Thankful Tablescape kit and am really loving how they turned out. My wreath is super simple but I like the simplicity of it. The banner is a little more Frilly but is also fairly simple to make. Have a look!

I started with the wreath since I was on a wreath making frenzy and then added the banner since the wreath seemed like such a simple project to share today! I wrapped the wreath in our Burlap Ribbon and then used the Thankful Tablescape kit to embellish it. I created my own banner to resemble the one in the kit but made it large enough to suit the wreath. I just used Basic Black Cardstock and my Signo Gel Pen.

Here’s a look at the leaves and the banner. I used a technique that my sister-in-law and fellow demonstrator Kari-lyn share with the Sleepless Stampers team a couple of weeks ago to add some detail to the leaves. I flipped the leaf upside down on my Stampin Pierce Mat and ran the stylus over the leaf to create veining and then crumpled and sponged it to make it look more realistic… remember my 9 yr old stampin’ critic.. he thought the leaf was REAL.. I guess passed the test! The word ‘thankful’ is cut out of the rolls of bark paper that come in the kit. I adhered it to white cardstock first using the multi-purpose adhesive sheets so that it wasn’t so fragile when using the thinlits and to help be able to adhere it to my banner. It worked like a charm!

Those little chalkboard details in the Tablescape Kit are fun and quick to work with so I knew they were the go to pieces to create a banner with. I stamped them with Whisper White craft ink and the Dictionary background stamp (I stamped off first) and then cut more letters out of the bark paper to create the word, ‘FALL’.

I used the same technique on the leaves here and embellished them with Naturals buttons, Tea Lace Doilies and the twine in the kit and strung it all together with Linen Ribbon.

I’ll include photos of the details and hope that you’re inspired to create your own Fall banner! The Linen Ribbon is strung through the Burlap Ribbon behind each piece of the banner. With the section of ribbon that is folded behind each piece I used sticky strip to tape off a section to string the Linen through. I hope that makes sense! 😉

I’m sure the other girls have been busy with this kit too and whether they created with it for this week or another week, I’m looking forward to hopping along through to see what they have to share! Becky is next but be sure to hop along all the way through to Mercedes!
Beautiful vintage, earthy look.
Just amazing! Love it all!
Wow! LOVE these! Great job Alanna 🙂
Awesome job transforming the Tablescape kit! <3
LUV the wreath idea! Blown away by both of these!
Ummmm I love this wreath. I must go to the dollar store and get a styrofoam wreath. This may be easy for some people to find but I can’t find them when I need them!
These décor items are beautiful and a great variation on the table settings kit. Love the banner and the way you changed the chalkboard elements!
STUNNING – purely STUNNING
Love the vintage wreath and chalkboard!! Would have to have this for my studio!!
