Welcome to December and to another week of Artisan Wednesday Wow!!! How did December sneak up on us so quickly?! Every week, I’m amazed at how quickly another week has gone by! .. not to mention, I’m amazed every week at the talent each of the girls has to share! Â While it never ceases to amaze me how quickly December comes, I always love it as soon as it’s here! I love the peace, joy, love and kindness that December brings! Â This year is no exception! It’s already been a busy but wonderful few days of December! Â ..speaking of wonderful, Jeanna’s creations for our blog hop buttons are too adorable! Now, let’s get into our paper creations that we’ve come up with for you today!
I’ve seen plenty of these envelope-liner gift card holders floating around but haven’t had a chance to create any gift card holders with them myself so I was happy that these were among our products to create with this month! Â Here’s the version I came up with for you today.
I kept it fairly simple as I wanted the wreath image from Wonderful Wreath to take the stage! Â I stitched the two sides of the liner together with my sewing machine and with that, there was very little to glue onto this project. Â I adhered the wreath with a few dimensionals and added a Vintage Faceted Button with a Cherry Cobbler bow tied with seam binding.
To keep the front clean and simple, I chose to use a tag from the Stamp-a-Tag kit and just tucked that into the pocket to go along with the gift card! This way the recipient can also re-use the gift card holder. Â .. I think this one will be one our creations for my Gift Card Holder class next week! Â Do you want to join me?!
December always turns into a time of reflection, a time to reflect on the blessings we are grateful for as the year comes to an end (and perhaps it’s even a time to be thankful that we can treat the new year as a time to leave some things in the year behind us as we look forward to beginning anew). There is definitely plenty on my list of blessings this year! Â I am grateful that 2013 has brought this team of amazing artists into my life, girls that are not only artists but who have become my friends! Each week, I get to look forward to their creations, to applauding their talents and to sharing friendships with them along the way. Â Now, let’s go see what they have to share this week! It’s always one of my favorite times of the week! Â Becky is up next but be sure to hop all the way through to Mercedes!
For the record I just totally Love You! & your project is Adorbs!
Aww, I love this project! We used the same stamp this week! 🙂 And, I think using the little tag to go along with the GC is so smart!! Awesome job!
So clever!
Oh My Original! I have not seen the envelope liner gift cards elsewhere and it is so clever! Now I have a quick, easy idea to use up some of my Christmas DSP 🙂
So very cute!
