Welcome back to this 2nd special edition blog hop showcasing the Pop & Place Gift tag set in all it’s glory! We’ve all got projects to share that are created with the Pop & Place gift tags and/or Christmas Tagables Photopolymer stamp set. I’m once again looking forward to seeing what all of the other team members have to share with us!
Well after a slew of computer issues, a hard drive that is inaccessible, an external hard drive not working (because I knocked it to the floor) and poor Mac needing to go back to the Apple store, I finally have a post that I hope will work and hopefully you’ll all forgive the tardiness of this post and enjoy what I have to share.. now on with the regular post… sigh.. it really could be worse! There’s much more to life than computer issues, right?! We just get along much better when they work with how dependent we can be on technology .. and it actually working the way we need it to! .. now, we’ll really get on with things!
My project today uses the tag frames, a little ribbon and that’s about it.. well besides some school photos of these cute boys of mine! .. what Grandparent doesn’t love a photo ornament of their grandchildren to hang upon the tree?! These will make a cute addition to the tags on their gifts this year. I created these photo ornaments using the negative spaces from the tags. My kids were thrilled with them and want to keep a set for our own tree.. looks like I have some more sewing to do!
I used two of each negative space for each ornament. One ‘frame’ for a photo of each of my boys so that the ornament is double-sided. I adhered the photo in the frame and then stitched around the edge with my sewing machine. I sewed the ribbon right into the top of one side as a hanger. Once I had both sides of the ornament stitched, I adhered the photos back to back and finished them off by tying a knot in the top of the ribbon and then I tied a Bakers Twine bow on each side of the ornament. They turned out pretty cute and I’ll definitely have to oblige the boys and add some to our tree this year as well. I think I’ll have to try a couple out in black and white! Here’s a peek at the individual ornaments.
Let’s go see what Becky had to share today! Be sure to hop along all the way to Mercedes! The hop is always a bright spot in my week and I never want to miss a project! See you next week!
Oh My Goodness…how cute are these! Definitely worth the wait!
