Artisan Wednesday Wow ~ O Christmas Tree

We’re back again with another December project to share with you all today!  … there’s no denying it’s December..the flurry of EVERYTHING has begun .. from the cold and snowy weather, to acts of Kindness and love in the air, to the crazy pace of the holiday season, December is  definitely in full swing!  I love Christmas time, I love frosty air, the happiness and good spirits that abound and I love the craftiness that inspires all around us!  I’ve switched back and forth from Christmas crafty mode to other projects (secret ones .. can’t wait to share!) more times than I can count but I’ve got a full-out Christmas one to share with you today!

I love the effect you get when crafting with Window Sheets!  I had fun creating this card, it kinda felt like I was putting up the Christmas Tree! .. dare I admit that I have not had one spare hr to put our tree up yet! We’ll have to tackle that project this weekend!  Our boys are sure excited to make it feel more like Christmas around here!  .. they loved my card today too so I was happy it met the approval of my 9 year old stampin’ critic!

You can see here how the Christmas Tree peeks through the Window Sheet.  The tree is created by die-cutting one of each of the sizes of pennants with the Perfect Pennants Die.  The largest one is cut out of Garden Green, the middle one is cut out of Gumball Green and the smallest is cut from Old Olive.  I cut a star out of the Gold Foil sheets using the star from the Circle Thinlits die set and then punched all of the stars for the garland with the star punch from the Merry Minis Punch pack.. did you know that it’s still available on the carry over list?!  The ends of the garland are held in place under the washi tape which also doubles it’s purpose by wrapping around the cardstock to hold the window sheet in place!

The cute little present by the tree is an image from Color Me Christmas.  I stamped it with Versamark onto Watercolor Paper and then heat set it with Black Embossing Powder.  I used an aqua painter and colored the image in with Cherry Cobbler and Old Olive Ink.  I don’t normally take to images that need to be colored but there is something fun about this stamp set … to think I wasn’t even going to buy this one! I’m sure glad now that it came in our box of goodies to stamp with this month!

I’m sure you’ve got as much on your plate as I do on mine, so let’s hop along to see what everyone else has to share!  They’ve been a tremendous source of inspiration (and help coming up with projects) for me lately!  Let’s go see what crafting emergency they can solve for us today! Becky is up next but make sure you hop on on all the way through to Mercedes!
