Artisan Wednesday Wow ~ So much to Celebrate

April Hop

Welcome to our 3rd week of April Projects!  This month is just flying by.. and the good news is, the weather is improving and it’s looking more and more like Spring!  I have a couple sets of projects to show you today!  I wanted to create some more Nautical themed projects …I almost went red, white and blue but stuck to the color scheme I had going on earlier but you’ll definitely see some other inspiration in today’s hop from the other girls in those colors with this theme!  All of these girls blow me away every week and this week is no exception!

What’s that?! So much to Celebrate?! The Muslin bags are a great product to use/alter to suit any occasion.  With the abundance of stamp sets we got in our boxes this month, there were many I wanted to make but created two different themes to celebrate to share with you today.

Here’s my first set of projects.  Many of my fellow demonstrators will be headed off to cruise the Western Carribean later this month.  We opted out of the trip for this year for a variety of reasons so we won’t be going and we will definitely miss seeing so many of the friends we have made on these trips and at Stampin’ up events.  Incentive trips are such a great time and are a great opportunity to see the people we become such good friends with at past events.  I would have had the chance to hang out with fellow Artisan Team Member, Erica too so I’m sad to not be going but it turns out that we were meant to be at home this year. My husband, Ryan is having surgery tomorrow to remove his thyroid.. it was discovered a month ago that he has thyroid cancer.  It is very treatable and for that, we are very grateful.  Please keep him in your thoughts and prayers tomorrow, the more love surrounding him the better! I think he’ll be drinking plenty of cold drinks like the one in this cute beverage bottle over the next little bit.  It was with my friends and cruising demos in mind that I made this cute little treat bag.. many of us like to bring little gifts in cute packaging to share with each other or to leave for the staff (from SU and from the trip location) who take good care of us on trips and I thought this cute muslin bag would be a quick, but fun and easy gift bag to use .. and it won’t take up much room in their luggage!

Artisan Wednesday Wow ~ Hello Sailor

Here it is in all of it’s glory..packed into one tiny package!

I picked up this cute beverage bottle to put some lemonade in, but already know that it’ll be a cute bottle to use for many occasions.  To get the sleeve to fit straight on a bottle shaped like this, just pick up a cardboard coffee cup sleeve from a coffee shop and use it as a tracer to cut the right curve in your paper so that it’s straight on the bottle. I have a couple on hand just for this purpose so getting the belly band to sit straight was fairly simple.

The ‘Lifesaver’ was created by using two circle punches to create a ring and then I used the Hello Sailor download and my e-cutter to create the anchor! I love that download!

Embellish those lifesavers to your liking.. or punch them out of colorful cardstock and create the ‘edible’ (or not so edible) kind!

So, I had mentioned I had this Easter set of cards to share… I had shared a sneak peek of them a few weeks ago and wanted to be sure to come back to share them before Easter comes and goes.  I actually changed one of the cards up a little too!

Both cards are pretty quick and easy and that matching muslin bag for this set was easy peasy to do by inking it up with my daubers and ink pads.  TIP: put a piece of paper or cardboard inside the bag when you are stamping to make it easier to get a nice circle and so that the ink doesn’t bleed through to the other side of the bag.

That cute little bunny was created with the 1″ Circle Punch, the 3/4″ Circle Punch and the Pansy Punch. I just cut apart the petals from the pansy to use as the bunny’s ears. The tail is the teeny little scallop punch from the Itty Bitty Punch Pack.  I love that little set of punches! I hope they stick around for a long time!

The chevrons on the first card and this oval on this next card both screamed, ‘Easter’ to me so that was what I went with here.  I used the elements and DSP from the Celebrations add on kits to create the banners and for the little basket look at the bottom of the egg on this card.

I always love to add a little bit of stitching when I can.  These cute banners would be fine just adhered down but the sewing machine was handy, so I couldn’t resist!

When I was having trouble with my photos earlier I put two up here quickly for you to see. I noticed that they’ve been pinned to Pinterest already and don’t want to deadlink those pins on those of you who have pinned them for inspiration so I’ll leave that photo here below and please enjoy a 2nd view of this photo here below!

I’d love to hear from you if you’ve gone forth and created any of these projects or if you have any questions.  I hope you’re inspired today. I know I sure was by all of the projects the team had to share!

Artisan Wednesday Wow ~ Happy Easter

Now, hop along to see what Becky has to share. As always I’m really excited to see what all of the projects are this week. Don’t stop the hop til you get through to Mercedes!  Once again, please get in your practice at commenting.  Next week it will count for ballots at winning some prizes so keep those comments coming and have a wonderful & blessed Easter weekend.
