Welcome back again to day 7 of sharing our projects with you! Thank you from all of us for following us along the way! We just got back into our work week here after a long weekend! Where has the summer gone?! I know for many of you in the US, your summer is quickly closing (after months off of school already) and your kiddos are back to school already this week or next. We are just half-way through summer vacation (although it seems to feel more like Fall already) and I wish it would just slow down! I love Fall but summer took so long to get here! Tomorrow I have a summery project to show you but in the mean time, I’ve got one last card to share!
This is the 5th card from the collection of cards I sent in for the contest! It’s a fairly simple one. It did involve some Stamp-A-Ma-Jigging to get the argyle pattern (from the Beyond Plaid stamp set, now retired) all lined up but aside from that, it’s a quick, fun card to put together!

If you wanted to step-it-up a little, you could stamp the tie again on the green cardstock (in this case, it was Lucky Limeade, now retired) and cut the knot of the tie out and layer it on top of the Basic Grey tie for an added pop of color! If you’re loving that bow tie, or the overall idea of this card, I hope that Dapper Dad (now retired) made it’s way into your collection before it retired!
I’ll be hopping on over to Becky’s blog with you and can’t wait to see what she has to share today! And in a flash, I’ll be back to Mercedes project before I slow down and look through another time or two!
Supplies:
Paper: Midnight Muse CS, Crumb Cake CS, Baja Breeze CS, Lucky Limeade CS, Basic Gray CS
Stamps & Ink: Best Dad Ever (inside card), Beyond Plaid, Midnight Muse Ink, Clockworks (inside card), Dapper Dad
Accessories: Petite Pennant Punch, Vintage Trinkets, Stamp a Ma Jig

Love what you did with the punched shapes!
Super clever punch art!
Alanna, you are seriously the best. This is ultra-awesome!!
I always struggle with a good masculine card and this one is awesome!
Love this card, it is so handsome! I need to make more masculine cards, but I always have such a hard time coming up with idea. This one definitely has sparked some inspiration!
Love the geometry in this card – any guy would be pleased and proud to receive it.
I see a sweater vest layered over a patterned shirt with a bow tie to top it all off!! Am I wrong??
Love the colors!! Great masculine card!
