Welcome back to our September edition of Fancy Friday! .. I can NOT believe a month has flown by! We’ve all been plenty busy since we last posted and I’m not quite sure how a month has gone by without my coming back to share with you all but somehow it has! I will come back to share some projects and some highlights of Founders Circle last week but in the mean time, have a hop through all of our blogs to see the fun things we have to share with you today!
This month, we have a sketch challenge to share with you! Jen came up with this sketch and while I did not create a card, I hope I didn’t stray far from what the sketch looks like on my Halloween Treat Box.
Here’s Jen’s sketch.
Here is how I applied this sketch to a box top!
I used a variety of elements on this project and am pretty happy with how it all came together. Now, I won’t be making a whole pile of these but maybe just a few for a few special guys in my life! Here are some of the little details.
I colored the martini glass in with blendabilities.. not the most stellar job but until I was looking at it zoomed in on the camera it was looking okay! .. I’ll improve with the next one! One of the parts I love is the colored rhinestones.. I just LOVE that you can custom color your rhinestones to match your project with the Blendabilities markers!
oohhh.. and that Iridescent Ice embossing powder.. I love coating a piece of paper with that beautiful stuff! The circle that frames the opening in the top of the box is coated with clear embossing powder and then Iridescent Ice. My friend Cynthia created one of the most beautiful swaps with this technique for Founders Circle.. I know it will be a hit with my customers when I craft with them at Stampin’ Bingo on Monday and at my All Day Crop next weekend. Thanks Cynthia!
What’s your favorite thing to color with Blendies?!
Now, don’t forget to hop along to see what everyone else has created! Becky is up next! Leave a little love if you wish by making a comment and if you did last month along with a link you might want to know who won our challenge. Lauren Reeves was our challenge winner! Congratulations Lauren! Be sure to stop by again next month.. there will be something in store for you!
C-U-T-E!
I love the little glamour brought to your card by that embossing powder. So cute! Was the martini glass supposed to be an olive and you made it look like an eye? Clever!
Super cute Alanna! Love all the bling!
OMG, I LOVE THIS! The colors, the bling, it’s spectacular!
