Doesn't it feel great when you've shared something you love or have been inspired by and those you shared it with were inspired as well?! Those of you who know me know that I take absolute delight in sharing what I love (whether it's a great deal, a new technique or a touching quote) and feel such gratification when it helps or inspires others!
It will come as no surprise then as to how delighted I was to see that a club member took what she learned here at card club and put her own spin on it to create her daughter's first birthday card! What a special gift. …that she loved what she made here at my place enough to recreate it (which is always what my hope is…that what we create here will be recreated again and again) and that she was inspired enough to recreate it for such a special occasion!
Deryn, I'm so happy to have had the timing just right with this card club project that it was a source of inspiration for Juliette's card. Thanks for sharing her special day with us and for welcoming us as 'extended family' to be a part of her life and to share her special moments. 🙂
Here is the card that Deryn created. I just love how the different colors and size with the same techniques looks so different and beautiful. Great work Deryn I love what you came up with!
Here is the original card we made at club.
While I'm on a sentimental, I love when this happens kind of journey, I wanted to share a little 'testimonial' with you. I received this about a week ago. The reason I'd like to share with you is to share with you an idea of how happy it makes me to know that what is taught, learned and shared here in my home is a blessing to others. It brings such fulfillment to know that the efforts you put into the projects here are appreciated and bring you new memories (read Lisa's message to understand what I mean). Please know it is a blessing to me and to my family as well. I am truly grateful for each and every one of you who shares your time with me at my classes and here on my blog. I hope you are as inspired as I am to share, inspire and create with the memories that make up your life.
Lisa, thanks for allowing me to share this moment of yours. It is definitely because of people like you (and those of you who read and/or take time to comment on my blog or share your time with me here) and moments like these that I do what I do and love doing it! You are so kind and sweet to let me know that she loved it so much. As I mentioned to you, it is of course because of the heart and soul and the photos that you put into it that she loved it so much … and I am honoured to have had a small part in that. Thanks so much for taking the time to write to share this with me. I really wish I could have been a fly on the wall. Job well done Lisa!
Now here are Lisa's words. Thanks again Lisa!
"Just wanted to thank you once again for being so timely on the bday explosion box! My Mother just loved it to pieces. I put pics of memories of her, Dad (passed away 10 years ago) and her family from throughout her life and you could tell that she was blown away (no pun intended). She wouldn't put it down as she mingled for the rest of the party…showing it off to everyone there. She said she would never forget this. So, thank you for the time and the idea and all the supplies and, of course, your company to make it such a success!" ~Lisa
Thanks to all of you for allowing me to share a love of paper crafting with you and also for sharing some of the most special and precious moments of your lives!
I am honoured and grateful!
Have a wonderful week!
p.s. I'll be back later today (after a slew of appts) with photos of my upcoming Stamp A Stack (to be held this Friday April 8th at 6 pm)
These cards are great and your blog is wonderful…..I'm following you from stampin' connection…..
