Welcome to another week of Artisan Wednesday Wow! We’ve got some more fun projects to share with you this week and as always I’m looking forward to seeing them all!
For today’s project I wanted to share some cards made with the fabulous new Blendabilities.. these markers are absolutely fabulous! I am NO artist when it comes to coloring… as much as I loved coloring when I was a kid, coloring on my stamped projects has always scared me and I lack all confidence when it comes to coloring…well NOT ANYMORE! .. I just can’t get enough coloring and feel like a little grade school-er cracking open her new markers and pencil crayons at the start of the school year in  September each time I get to splash come color onto my cardstock!  ..yes, cardstock, not water color paper, just plain old Whisper White cardstock and it stays smooth as a baby’s bottom even after all that blending! I’m hooked!
Okay, so we’ll get onto sharing these cards with you. Â I wanted to show you just how simple and fun these markers are so I went with the K.I.S.S. method for this project… you know.. Keep It Simply Silly! (that’s my version anyway!) Â Here’s what I came up with to share with you today, a cute set of 4 x 4 cards. Â There’s something fun about simple, square cards.. and they’re easy to create matching envelopes for!
I used the new Blended Bloom stamp and the leaf from Peaceful Petals.  It’s kind of  a perfect match to go with this flower but the flower is honestly just fine on it’s own.  I wanted to show you what each of the color that we got to play with turns out like though and since I had used all of the other colors on the flowers, I incorporated Old Olive into the leaf and in one more fun detail that I’ll show you next.
I colored some Vanilla Seam Binding with my medium Old Olive Blendabilities marker to tie this little package of cards together so that it could be given as a gift..that’s if I can part with them!
Here’s what each of the colors (that are part of the demonstrator pre order) looks like.. if you are a demonstrator, be sure to get yours pre-ordered.  If you are not a demonstrator.. you might want to become one.. it’s the only way to get them ordered for now until they are released to customers. … I know I couldn’t wait to get  MY hands on them! ..said with a big smile on my face because these markers put me in my happy crafting place!
I also curled up the edges of the leaves and the flower and added some extra dimension by adhering them with dimensionals!
I really could color with these all day long. Â I hope you enjoyed our projects today and are inspired to give these markers a try! Â Let’s go see what Becky has to share and be sure to stop at each of the Artisan’s projects!
