Welcome back again today to our first MAY edition of Artisan Wednesday Wow! Today, we are all excited to bring projects to share that are made with this new and exciting line, Project Life® by Stampin’ Up!®
I started really simple with the projects I brought to share with you today! The philosophy of Project Life® is to make memory keeping simple and do-able so that was the direction I took with this project.. AND in doing so, I involved my kids! Here is what they helped me make for our first Project Life® page! .. and they loved it too! They were cute writing down their thoughts on this trip to the Stampin’ Up! playground in Kanab, Utah and I enjoyed watching them help me preserve these memories. I can see now that this will be a new way for me to share this hobby with them and I’m so excited to have them help me record their memories.. in their very own hand-writing!
Here are some closer views of the elements of our first page!
I used the Project Life® Point & Click stamp set and the Project Life® Cards & Labels Framelits dies to create some journaling tags for my boys to write on. They enjoyed helping choose which stamps to embellish with (that little cluster of stars is one fabulous stamp!) and which label shapes they wanted to use.
My eldest loves to practice his hand-writing and was thrilled that he could practice right here on the page! .. what I love about that, is that we have preserved right here on this page, a sample of what their printing and hand-writing is like right now at this age! Not only that but it’s written in their own words and is perfectly typical of each of them.. one wordy like me and one a little man of fewer words! … and fewer words that often pack a punch!
For this ‘title’ for my page I actually cut the ‘we were here’ from one of the Project Life® cards and adhered it to the top of one of the others. The alphabet stickers are from the matching accessory pack. I haven’t used alphabet stickers in forever and they were a cinch to spell out what I wanted.
I think I need to use this quote over and over and over again.. I think I’ll be needing to buy the Project Life® download!
I also used the Project Life® Day to Day stamp set here on this tag… this will be another great stamp set to use in all of the scrapbooking we do (traditional and Project Life®)!
I have one more project to share with you. This one was whipped up in a snap!
I ran an all day crop on National Scrapbooking day this past weekend and did a class with the Retro Fresh cards.. everyone loved them! So, I thought I’d create a card with the same simplistic method by using the Project Life® cards to share with you too! I also incorporated the new Alphabet rotary stamp.. I will be using that stamp A LOT! ..just forgive my crookedness! Here’s what I came up with.
We’ve got a whole blog hop of Project Life® by Stampin’ Up!® projects to share. Becky is up next and be sure to hop through to see what everyone has to share with you this week! I hope you’re inspired and as excited as I am to have this addition to our product line!
Be sure to check out this post by Arika at the home office, she has plenty of Project Life® inspiration to share with you.
Now, if you live in my area and are as excited about Project Life® by Stampin’ Up!® as I am after all this inspiration and want to join me in creating with this fabulous line, stay tuned or contact me for details on a monthly Project Life® club that I will be running. I’d love to have you join me!
