Welcome back to our last set of March projects!  March has been a crazy month around here! I can’t believe this is our last set of projects.  … speaking of crazy, I went a little crazy creating with the box of goodies that we had as well as with this Tie Dye technique.  I have so much to show you and just couldn’t stop.  I’ve got lots to share today and believe it or not, this is the narrowed down version.  I’ve got three sets of stuff for today but will be back with more in the coming days.  For now, I’ve selected just the Tie Dye projects.

Before I share my projects though, I’ve got to share some important Happy Birthday wishes with my now-in-the-double-digits, son! He turned 10 today.  In case you missed it, be sure to check back to the set of Banner Blast Progressive Pages that I created for him that were featured on the SU blog last week.

Now here’s what I have to share this week!  Be forewarned, there’s plenty of inspiration and plenty of Tie Dye going on here!

This set of cards is a spin off from a technique that I did with my Technique and Scrapbook clubs this month.  Remember the Canvas Creations Spiral Flower I did last week, it was a spin off from this project… the crafting has been kind of out of control!  Stay tuned til the end though, I’ve got a little tutorial for you again.

This is one of the Scrapbook Pages that I created (with some color and layout inspiration from Pinterest) for my Scrapbook Club.  I used elements and DSP from the Bermuda Bay Celebrations Add On kit on this page and on their 2nd page as well.  I’ll come back to share that 2nd page with you in another post.  Now to figure out which photos I’d like to add.  When I create for club, I don’t always start with the photos and sometimes do the page first .. it works for me though, then I can co-ordinate the photos to the page.

I created the Bermuda Bay card that co-ordinates with the Scrapbook Page but we got the Calypso Coral Celebrations Add-On kit in our box this month so, I wanted to incorporate it into the Tie Dye effect and created this color combo as well.

This card below is the one that is responsible for it all!  I started out weeks ago with a piece of Canvas Creations and doing the Tie Dye technique on it.  I knew I wanted to do the technique with my clubs but to keep it budget-friendly I wanted to offer an alternate option so we created the technique on both Whisper White and Very Vanilla cardstock.  It worked out great on all three.

Here’s another version on cardstock.

Here you can see some of the details.  I used Starburst Sayings and paired it with the Starburst and Circle Framelits to create the greeting.

Here are a couple of other versions.  You can stop at just creating the rings or go all in and add the bursts of water/bleaching to your project as well.  We also tried a little splattering of ink by picking up some reinker with the Aqua Painter and splatting it onto the cardstock after we were all done with the Tie Dye effect.  I wasn’t kidding when I said I couldn’t stop!

These are the three different looks on the Canvas.  One just with the rings of color, one with the rings of water added and the final one with the bursts added in as well. Which is your favorite?!

Oh, here’s a sneak peek at what I did with the Watercolor Notecards.. I’ll be sharing those this week as well so if you’re in need of ideas on what to do with those little beauties, be sure to stop back.  Sometimes I just wish I could sit and craft all day.. there was no shortage of projects coming out of the March box of goodies!
