Thanks for coming back again this week! By now, we’ve all been sharing projects that we sent in to Stampin’ Up! for the display boards at Leadership Conference. I hope you are enjoying them! For this post, we’re all back with week number 3 of January project created with our box of new stampin’ goodies in the Spring Catalogue. I’ve continued with my Valentines trend and hope you’ve been inspired to use a whole variety of products beyond your basic heart shapes for Valentines. As a bonus for this week’s project, I also created a birthday version of the same box using the Retro Fresh Suite. Enjoy!
Oh, before I get into sharing my project I took a whole pile of photos of the steps I took to make this box. I’m working on arranging them and will be back shortly to add them to this post for you to create one along with me. Be sure to stop back to catch those steps! Now, here goes!
I went with the standard and super easy 2-4-6-8 box and then added a lid by creating a flap with the new Tag Topper Punch. I just love these punches.. they’ve already seen MUCH use in my stamp studio! .. definitely a must have item in the Spring Catalogue!
Now, here’s the birthday version with the Retro Fresh suite and Starburst dies. I think I’ll be making more of this one and if you want to make the Valentine one, it’ll be coming up in a Valentine class real soon!
In case you noticed that vanilla looking twine, it’s actually the gold bakers twine from the Spring Catalogue.. I just pulled out the gold so that the twine would fit nicely through the button holes to tie the box shut. .. stay tuned for next weeks project, I have a fun and cute use for that strand of gold (or silver) twine to share with you!
Join me in hopping along to see what Becky has to share! Be sure to hop through to each of the Artisans to see what they’ve come up with with this fun new Spring product!
As promised I’m back with some instructions.. and there’s a novel right in the photos to go with the steps. I hope they are useful and give you a few tips towards creating your own 2-4-6-8 boxes! You should be able to click on any of the photos below if you need to see one of the photos up close. Let me know if I can help at all. Have fun creating!
I’d love to hear if you were inspired to create some of these cuties! I’ve made the 2-4-6-8 boxes in the past but love being able to add a lid without that made more steps! Despite the many photos, these were actually pretty fast and easy to make!
How adorable are these!!!! Must make some soon!!!
Both of these are fantastic! I will be making the birthday ones for fast gifts for co-workers.
Love this!.
Both of your boxes are super cute! Thanks for sharing such great instructions!
These are super adorable! They are the perfect little treat! Thanks for sharing your tutorial! I think I shall make some later!
Love the idea of the lid on the box. Such a wonderful tut! Thank you so, so much! The boxes are darling!
I’m so impressed, I’ve never done anything like this to put my treats in. I don’t have the supplies, etc., but just wanted you to know how cute I think these are and what a great job you’ve done!
Great tutorial Allana, thanks so much for sharing! Your boxes are really cute, can’t wait to have a go.
