Welcome back again to what is already our second March project!  As always, I’m excited to see what my fellow team members have created and I hope you find some inspiration in the hop today!

I made another project using the Spiral die to share with you for this week.  We were playing around with the die at my team meeting this month and one of the girls on my team was showing us how you can cut points in each of the spirals to make a different style of flower.  So when she pointed out that it looks like Lily Flower… it got me going with thoughts of frog punch art and lily pads and lily flowers and I asked if she’d mind if I used her idea of a Lily Flower and ran with it!  Here’s what I came up with and thanks Julie for sharing the Lily Flower idea with me! .. it’s one of my favorite things about sharing SU with other stampers and demonstrators, the inspiration that we all share with each other!

I had good plans to come back with some photos/tutorials on how to do some of the things that I’ve done on this card but some life circumstances have thrown a wrench into those plans for this week and so I will plan to come back to show you how.  If you’d like to know how I created the waves in the water or how I did the frog punch art or Lily Flower, please comment to let me know and I’ll do my best to get back with those for you. In the mean time, here are some closer photos and I’ll give you a little explanation here!

The Cat tails are created with the word window and the Tulip from Backyard Basics Framelits.  The little piece that sticks out the top is the little cherry from the cupcake punch.  The frog is mostly created with the small oval punch.  I’ll be back to show you how I altered the size of the ovals for the belly of the frog and the head.  I created the waves by cutting a piece of window sheet with the scallop border from the Tasteful Trim die and using that as a stencil to sponge some two-toned waves (I used Coastal Cabana and Whisper White).

I thought that the ‘pssst’ greeting went well on the front but that it needed to be finished off on the inside with a greeting to go with it so I stamped, ‘you make me happy’ from Happy Watercolor and created a mini Lily Flower with the Petite Petals Punch to accent it.  .. and anything to bring a little splash of Spring and of Happiness to our World can only help!

Stay tuned for more information! Let’s go see what Becky has to share! Be sure to hop on all the way through to all of the Artisans! They’re sure to have great projects to share with you!

I would love to know how you made the frog, it is so cute! My daughter in law collects frogs, what a cute card for her!

Your frog card – with the lily! – is adorable…cannot wait to share it with a dear friend who loves frogs!

Loved your frog on the lily pad. I do better with punch art than stamping. Any information on how to would be appreciated.
